Enamel Seed pod Earrings Nature Inspired Tree Jewelry
These enameled copper earrings are inspired by the seedpods of Tree of Heaven, they have a fun twist to them and actually appear like this in nature. This is not an easy shape to enamel with a torch! Great pair for the nature enthusiast, hiker or trailwalker.
Handcrafted stainless steel earwires. (hypoallergenic) Pictures have a couple of different pairs to show variation.

These earrings begin by cutting the copper shapes out of copper sheet. They are then handcrafted into the seedpod shape, drilled and sanded. The torch firing creates interesting surface effects because the flame touches the enamel on all sides, no two pairs are ever alike.

WHAT IS ENAMELED COPPER?
Enameling is glass fused to copper at high heat. Enamels are finely ground glass, like fine sand, also referred to as vitreous enamel. Enameled copper has a durable, glossy finish that doesn’t fade under ultraviolet light. Enamels may be opaque or transparent, the colors come from the use of various oxides. Enameled surface is durable and has a variety of color effects depending on angle of light.
Enameled jewelry can be cleaned with water and a mild detergent if needed. Please do not drop onto a hard surface like tile or cement as this may cause chipping just like if you dropped a piece of glass jewelry.
