Copper patina verdigris pointed oval earrings, rustic handmade copper earrings created with pure copper. This patina is grown naturally and has always a completely unique end result. This particular pair has a nice green verdigris color with a real rustic result. It is primitive, totally natural and super organic!

This pair can be reversed if you happen to like the other side better. The copper shapes are 1 1/2 inches, total earring length is 2 1/2 inches. Copper kidney earwires.

WHAT IS NATURAL PATINA

Copper takes on patina beautifully in the nature when it is exposed to the elements of rain and moisture. This natural process can be accelerated by using all natural “exposing” methods, with the help of household ingredients, usually vinegar and salt. This process can take anywhere from a couple of days to a week. Copper is then rinsed and let dry and finally coated with a clear coat to seal in the patina. It is a method to create beautiful natural artistic jewelry.
