Copper patina verdigris earrings, rustic handmade copper earrings handcrafted by me from copper sheet. This patina is grown naturally and has always a completely unique end result. This particular pair has a blue green end color result. These copper patina earrings have that organic rustic finish with a geometric shape and beautiful color!

The copper shapes are 1 1/8 inches (25 mm) tall, total earring length is 1 5/8 inches. Handcrafted stainless steel earwires. (hypoallergenic)

WHAT IS NATURAL PATINA

Copper takes on patina beautifully in the nature when it is exposed to the elements of rain and moisture. This natural process can be accelerated by using all natural “exposing” methods, with the help of household ingredients, usually vinegar and salt. This process can take anywhere from a couple of days to a week. Copper is then rinsed and let dry and finally coated with a clear coat to seal in the patina. It is a method to create beautiful natural artistic jewelry.
