Copper Mermaid Tail pendant – Flame painted copper, this copper mermaid tail necklace piece has very unique coloring. It will have varied looks depending on the natural light since copper flaming surface reacts to the lighting. This copper mermaid tail necklace starts with pure copper, I hand cut the shape and form it with various methods and tools. The copper tail then gets flame painted for color, and in the end clear coated with several layers of the best clear coat.
The video shows an example mermaid tail before and after clear coating. (Any clear coat slightly dulls certain colors, you can see examples in the video.) Each one is slightly unique.

I completely handcraft the copper jewelry- they are cut from pure copper sheet metal, shaped, sanded and formed, then flamed with a hand torch.
Please note: copper is a natural metal and the pictures are taken in diffused daylight. The look of natural flame painted copper changes according to the light and how it reflects from the surface. The metal is 24 gauge. This copper head has no chemical or painted on color, the result is all natural.
