Copper Leaf Earrings, Gingko Leaf earrings, flame painted copper. These are for the fun handcrafted lover, they could also be Mermaid tails, the beauty is in the eye of the looker. Handcrafted from pure copper in my studio, flamed for color with a hand torch.

Coated with high grade jewelry clear coat to prevent tarnish. Pictures have a couple of different pairs to show variation. This earring is perfectly unique nature shape for the person who loves the all natural – leaves, trees, nature inspired!

Please note: The look of natural flame painted copper changes according to the light and how it reflects from the surface. The metal is 24-26 gauge. This copper leaf has no chemical or painted on color, the result is all natural.

Copper flame painting is a process where colors and patterns are created on copper, not with paints or chemicals, but by the manipulation of torch flame creating oxygen molecules on the surface of the piece. Using a propane torch, varying colors are produced by the number and length of times that heat is applied, actually painting with a flame. Color is also influenced by the composition of the air on a given day. Therefore, each piece is unique, no two identical.
