Marimekko cotton fabric napkins rich red pine branch design by Maija Isola. This fabric design is called “Mänty” , with large pine branches on rich red background. Handmade cloth napkins, ready for your dinner table!
The napkins are generous 18″ square. The napkins are carefully hemmed with a double fold and the corners are mitered for a lovely finish. 100% cotton, machine washable in hot water. This is a set of four (4) napkins.
Please note that Marimekko cottons should be washed in hot water, at least for the first few times. There is often some remaining dye on fabrics from the factory. This is how Marimekko lists the care instructions:
“Wash separately in plenty of water the first few times to remove any excess dye that may have remained on the fabric surface. Do not soak, machine wash hot at 140F/60C, do not use chlorine bleach, do not tumble dry, iron hot, dry clean allowed.”
Handcrafted in Coastal Maine.

About MARIMEKKO
Marimekko is a Finnish design house based in Helsinki renowned for its original prints and colors. Marimekko has made important contributions to fashion, especially in the 1960s. It is particularly noted for brightly colored printed fabrics and simple styles, used both in women’s garments and in home furnishings. Marimekko’s bold fabrics and bright, simple design strongly influenced late 20th-century taste. Many of the early Marimekko designs, including Maija Isola’s Unikko, remain in production today. They were made famous in the United States by Jacqueline Kennedy, who bought eight Marimekko dresses which she wore throughout the 1960 United States presidential campaign.
Today Marimekko is a leading textile company, producing fabrics, clothing and home furnishings. They have stores all over the world – from United States and Europe to Japan and Australia.
