Marimekko fabric blue unikko hobo shoulder bag

Bold Poppy Marimekko fabric hobo slouch shoulder bag with pockets. This is Marimekko’s most famous design, the iconic “Unikko” by Maija Isola. This version of the small Unikko is created with dark blue, light blue, moss green, beige and brown – beautiful neutral color combination. The bag design is my version of the classic hobo slouch with a modern flair. This bag is easy to wear, has wide shoulder strap and accommodates a lot of contents. There are four inside pockets and a magnetic snap closure. Three pockets covering one full side on the inside and one cell phone or wallet pocket on the other side. The fabric is high quality cotton, lining fabric is light beige cotton. Washable.This bag can go in very small space because it is fabric, there is no interfacing (the material used to make cloth bags stiff), except for a tiny piece at the magnetic snap to provide extra durability. If you pack it tight you can iron it or hang it up for a day to remove any wrinkles.

11″ high, 16″ wide, the strap is 39 inches total. Full length with strap from top of strap to bottom of bag is about 30″. The bag has gussets on the bottom for nice shape (and more room!)

I would recommend washing separately for the first two times and don’t let fabric lay on itself while drying (to prevent color transfer).
This is how Marimekko lists general care instructions for their cottons:
“Wash separately in plenty of water the first few times to remove any excess dye that may have remained on the fabric surface. Do not soak, machine wash hot at 140F/60C, do not use chlorine bleach, do not tumble dry, iron hot, dry clean allowed.”
