Handcrafted copper coin earrings, impressed with an European vintage coin (Greek Drachma). The Greece coin has a masted ship crossing the oceans on it. Flamed with a hand torch to produce some interesting color tones on the copper. There is no fake coloring used, the pieces have slight differences for extra interest! Clear coated to seal with a high grade jewelry clear coat.
Stainless steel earwires.
I handcraft the copper jewelry in my studio. There is a lot of hammering involved! I handcraft the earwires out of jewelry grade (surgical) stainless steel wire.
About Flame Painted copper: copper is a natural metal and the pictures are taken in diffused daylight. The look of natural flame painted copper changes according to the light and how it reflects from the surface. If you view the jewelry in a darker room indoors it will not look as bright and if you see it outside in bright daylight it will look brighter. There is no chemical or painted on color, the result is all naturally achieved with the flame. The copper is clear coated with a high grade jewelry clear coat to prevent tarnishing.
